WASHINGTON (AP) - President Bush says the federal government will
offer all the assistance it can to areas hit by another round of
tornadoes and storms.
At least 23 deaths in three states are being blamed on the
weather, including at least 14 in Missouri. Ten of the victims died
when a tornado struck near the town of Seneca. That's about 20
southeast of an Oklahoma town that was also hit by a tornado. At
least seven were killed there.
Authorities say at least two more people were killed by storms
in Georgia.
The National Weather Service says a strong storm system carrying
a funnel cloud moved over central Ohio, and authorities are
investigating reports that a tornado touched down west of Columbus.
Bush says he plans to be in touch with the governors of the
affected states.
