| September 2, 2008 Caylee Anthony case now considered search for dead child
|
(NECN/WFTV) - Teams of volunteers spent their Labor Day combing through the woods of Orange County, Florida, searching for the body of missing three-year-old Caylee Anthony.
It was an organized search -- three locations, 20 square miles.
Sheriff's investigators reiterated what they announced previously for the first time: they consider this a search for a dead child. That's based on evidence that Caylee's decomposing body was in her mother, Casey's, car.
Detectives are using their evidence and tips to guide the search teams across a huge area.

Caylee's mother, Casey Anthony, remains jailed on unrelated
charges and has been considered a "person of interest" in the
case. She's been offered limited immunity in exchange for her
cooperation.
