(NECN: New York City) - A construction crane has collapsed on Manhattan's Upper East Side, slamming against a section of an adjacent apartment building. New York Fire Department is on the scene and has already pulled a number of people from the wreckage. There conditions were not immediately known.
The incident occurred at East 91st Street and first avenue. The top floor of the nearby high rise apartment building was destroyed.
On March 15 another crane collapse in New York killed 7.
