Tia Stone Tourist: "I'm disappointed it's not bigger! I wanted more rain and wind and excitement." But Edouard put up quite a fight with powerful winds and pummeling rains.. pelting the gulf coast. The storm made landfall Tuesday morning near the Texas-Louisiana border.. damaging mobile homes and soaking seaside communities.

Clifton Hebert LA Local Official "We have power lines down in some areas, as well as no electricity in the town of Cameron." In Galveston, the damage was minimal.. Edouard.. merely a wet, windy municipal interruption.

Steve LeBlanc Galveston City Manager "City services will continue to be closed for the rest of today however we will be open tomorrow at eight am, pick back up on garbage pick up, and municipal court and those sorts of things that we're not open for today."

"It's normal day in Gal flat just happen to be raining that's it ha, ha."

Many here were worried about Edouard's effect on tourism.. now at the height of the season. Fortunately many visitors decided to ride out the storm.. and see what all the fuss was about.
