(NECN: Leeds, Ala.) - Officials in suburban Leeds, Alabama said at least four workers at a clothes hanger factory were injured early Thursday morning after parts of a warehouse roof collapsed.
A Fire Department spokesperson told reporters that the M&B Hangers plant reported the accident occurred during the morning shift and when rescuers arrived at the factory they had to help some people from the debris.
As of 12:15 PM ET investigators were making their way back into the damaged area of the plant to make sure everyone was accounted for and out of danger.
According to company officials, M&B's Birmingham plant is one of the few remaining US-based companies who continue to manufacture clothes hangers.
