(Stephen Iandoli, NECN) - Thursday was a day of reunions for three US hostages rescued from captivity in Colombia. Two of the men are from New England.
A spokesman for the U.S. Army said the families of the three Americans are arriving in San Antonio Thursday to reunite with their loved ones.
Marc Gonsalves, Thomas Howes and Keith Stansell had been held by the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia since their drug-surveillance plane went down in the jungle in February 2003. They were working as U.S. military contractors.
There are reportedly still hundreds of hostages held by guerrilla groups deep in the jungles of Colombia.
NECN's Stephen Iandoli has more.
