| September 2, 2008 Protests outside Casey Anthony's home
|
(NECN/WFTV) - There was a bizarre scene at the home of Casey Anthony's parents in East Orange County, Florida yesterday. A family holding signs tried to confront the people inside, and even banged on the front door.
The family of five showed up there to protest. They were there to pressure both George and Cindy Anthony into providing more information to investigators about what happened to their three-year-old missing granddaughter, Caylee.
The protest wasn't calm -- in fact -- deputies were called in after things started to heat up.
Ericka Courtney and her family are from Casselberry. When no one answered the door, Cindy told the family she was calling 911.
Ericka says this is a lesson for her children.
Both Ericka and her husband were issued a trespassing warning.
Ericka says this case hits close to home.
Florida police investigating the
disappearance of three-year-old Caylee Anthony say lab tests
confirm there had been a decomposing body in the trunk of her
mother's car.
The Orange County, Florida, sheriff's office says investigators
now think there's a strong probability that Caylee is dead. The
sheriff's department says other evidence not made public also leans
in that direction.
Caylee's mother, Casey Anthony, remains jailed on unrelated
charges and has been considered a "person of interest" in the
case. She's been offered limited immunity in exchange for her
cooperation.
