(NECN/KESQ) - There are new developments over a middle school and whether there is a cancer cluster there. Now, some former students at La Quinta Middle School in California are coming forward. Despite the state giving the school a clean bill of health, some say it is giving them a lifetime of health problems.
31-year-old mother of four, Jaime Senescu, looks through her 1990 La Quinta Middle School yearbook. Her picture brings back memories, but also questions. As she sifts through her chemotherapy drugs, she wonders if she cancer she has was caused by something inside the school.
16 of 137 teachers that have worked there have had some form of cancer. Some teachers have died. Another former student believes her rare foot tumor was caused by something at the school.
