June 24, 2008 Violence no concern of Zimbabwe's Mugabe Play video

(NECN/ABC) - President Robert Mugabe succeeded in driving his opponent in the Zimbabwe national election into hiding, but failed in preventing the situation from turning violent.

Mugabe may have been satisfied with the status of the election, but the opposition party is focusing on ending the violence.

So far, Mugabe has continued on without any direct intervention from outside powers, saying that the elections will go on.
