(NECN: Kristen Caira, Beverly, MA) - In Massachusetts, supporters are trying to save the North Shore Birth Center at Beverly Hospital.

Trustees of the hospital say a rise in malpractice premiums could force them to shut down the center.

Trustees are meeting to decide whether to end births at the North Shore birth center because of rising medical malpractice suits.
