| December 8, 2008 Londonderry Band to play Inauguration

(Prat Thakkar, NECN) - The Londonderry, NH High school marching band has been selected to perform in the Barack Obama Presidential Inauguration.
Marching bands from each of the 50 states will be participating in the ceremony. Over 1,500 marching bands applied for the honor.
The Londonderry Marching Band has had many an honor, including trips to the Great Wall in China, the Orange Bowl and the Tournament of Roses Parade.
The band must raise $150,000 for the event. If not, then each child must contribute $500.
