December 17, 2008 Explosion levels home in Scituate, MA Play video

(Scot Yount, NECN: Scituate, MA) - Utility crews and firefighters are trying to figure out what caused a home to explode in Scituate, Massachusetts. The blast leveled the home on Turner Road around 2:30 this afternoon.

No serious injuries have been reported. Debris was strewn around the site of the explosion and houses up to a third of a mile away had windows blown out.

Bay State Gas workers are on the scene trying to determine the cause of the blast.
