NORTHAMPTON, Mass. (AP) - A Sunderland man has been charged with
stabbing another man at the home of his ex-girlfriend, then
releasing some kind of chemical in the apartment.
A judge ordered 23-year-old Keo Bun to undergo 20 days of
evaluation at Bridgewater State Hospital following his arraignment
in Northampton District Court on charges including attempted
murder, home invasion and cruelty to animals.
Bun allegedly entered the Northampton apartment late Tuesday
night and stabbed the man several times. Police said the victim,
whose name was not released, was hospitalized with non-life
threatening injuries.
The woman was unhurt.
Police said Bun fled the apartment after dispersing a chemical
substance that police did not immediately identify.
A dead cat was also found at the scene.
Bun's court-appointed attorney, Marissa Elkins, did not
immediately return a call.
