(NECN) - Boston firefighters call for action after a second fire engine crash over the weekend.

The Boston firefighters union is requesting safety inspections for their emergency vehicles.

30-year firefighting veteran Kevin Kelly died Friday from another high-speed crash along Huntington Avenue.

There have now been three crashes caused by a loss of vehicle control in less than two weeks.

Officials suspect outdated equipment may be to blame.
