(John Moroney, NECN) - A young girl was in critical condition in a Boston hospital on Sunday evening, after her body was discovered in a pond in Andover, Massachusetts. Investigators were going through the house at 58 William Street in Andover, where the girl, 16, was last seen at around 5am before being discovered submerged in a nearby pond. "She was at the house at 5am, somewhere around 5am she left the house on foot," Lt. James Hashem said. "Whoever was at the house was concerned for her leaving, left the house immediately after her, trying to locate her. They could not locate her, and a couple of hours later they decided to call us." Police said the girl is from Wellesley, Massachusetts and a Junior at Concord Academy as a day student. Investigators would not say whether or not alcohol was involved, or if adults were at the house at the time. Neither the young girl's name or the name of the hospital where she was taken was released. NECN's John Moroney reports.
