One dead after Somerset, MA house explosion

(NECN: Somerset, MA) - One person is dead after a house explosion in Somerset, Massachusetts. Fire Marshall Steven Coan says there was "extreme damage" to the house at 72 New York Avenue. Board of Selectmen chairman William Meehan said people have been evacuated from nearby homes and a temporary shelter set up. Meehan said firefighters from surrounding towns have responded to the scene but no fire was still burning. Information from The Associated Press is included in this report.
