(NECN: Josh Brogadir, Boston, Mass.) - Human rights issues are in the spotlight in Boston today. Dozens of activists are taking part in a rally to bring attention to violations happening around the world. The activists main concern is the treatment of immigrant detainees across the United States. The group Amnesty International's national conference is underway in Boston. The march for immigrant's rights started at the Park Plaza, wound through the common, and then onto City Hall Plaza. Amnesty released a report titled, "Jailed without justice", showing that the number of immigrant detainees has tripled from 1996-2008, going from about 10,000 to about 30,000. NECN's Josh Broagadir has more.
