Robert Curley is the father of Jeffrey Curley, who in 1997 was murdered at age 10. Brian MacQuarrie os the author of "The Ride: A Shocking Murder and a Bereaved Father's Journey from Rage to Redemption." The story it tells is one that Curley, and many New Englanders lived through in horror.

MacQuarrie, busy reporter for decades at The Boston Globe, explains why he put his life on hold to write the book.

Curley, an outspoken advocate for the death penalty, explains how an encounter with Bud Welch on Braude's radio show, caused him to do some soul-searching.
