July 6, 2009 Explosion in Manchester, NH, sends worker to hosp

MANCHESTER, N.H. (AP) - Police in Manchester, N.H., say an explosion in a manhole has sent a worker to the hospital.

The worker was believed to be a city water works employee. The explosion happened Monday at about 8:15 a.m. at South Commercial and Granite streets. Officials are checking gas lines.

No one has been evacuated.
