July 11, 2009 Boston Fire investigating 4 alarm at 400 Dorchester Ave

(NECN: Boston, MA) - The Boston Fire Department is investigating a 4 alarm fire at 400 Dorchester Ave in South Boston.

A call came in at 1:12 AM on Saturday and crews battled the fire till about 7 AM.

One firefighter was treated and released for a back injury.

Firefighters were pulled back since no one was in the building that houses a fish processing plant, wholesaler and retail store.

The building was destroyed and the damage is estimated to be around $2 million.
