November 3, 2009 Awaiting results in key mayoral, marriage votes

(NECN) - The polls have closed across New England, where voters are taking part in hundreds of local races and a key statewide vote on gay marriage in Maine. The ballots are being counted in mayoral elections in Boston, Springfield, Worcester, Waterbury, New Haven, and Manchester, as well as in dozens of other communities, and in Maine, the "people's veto" effort to overturn gay marriage is getting national attention.
