(NECN: Lynn, Mass.) - Seven people have been injured in a two-alarm house fire on Clinton Street in Lynn, Massachusetts.

Three of the people hurt are police officers, who were rushing in to rescue the residents.

The officers, as well as four of the home's seven residents, suffered smoke inhalation and required hospitalization.

The Lynn Fire Department and the state Fire Marshal's office are investigating.
