| July 21, 2008 4 remain in critical condition after freak lightning strike
|
(Mark Sudol, NECN) - Ten men between the ages of 13 and 40 were struck by the same bolt of lightning as they took cover under the tallest tree at Franklin Field in Dorchester, MA.
Four of those men were in critical condition at Boston Medical Center late Sunday night, while others were scattered about other hospitals in the city receiving treatment.
One emergency worker said he had never in his 27 years of service seen so many people injured by one bolt of lightning.
The storm made the job tougher on emergency workers.
NECN's Mark Sudol has the story. Our Prat Thakkar also contributed to this report.
