(NECN: Garnder, Mass.) - Seven churches and a school in the Gardner, Massachusetts area have been defaced by anti-Christian graffiti. Police says the graffiti was aimed at people attending church on Good Friday.
The vandal used expletives involving the names of Jesus and Mary and painted several upside down corsses. Messages included, "You brainwashed zombies" and "Jesus is dead."
The vandalism was first spotted at Sacred Heart Catholic church at about 11 p.m. on Thursday night. Other writing was seen Friday morning at several Gardner churches, of different denominations as well as one church in Phillipston and the Narragansett Regional High School in Templeton.
The graffiti was all done in black spray paint and appears to be the work of one person.
