(Danica Pecirep, NECN: Worcester, Mass.) - A Worcester woman makes wedding cakes, and one of her creations was recently named America’s Most Beautiful Cake.

Script:

A wedding cake made in Worcester - inspired by a silk kimono - has wowed brides across the nation.

Michelle Bohegian is the owner of Something Sweet By Michelle in Worcester. Last month, Bride’s Magazine crowned one of her cakes Americas Most Beautiful.

Bohegian started her career as a paralegal - but soon found her talents lay elsewhere. She decided to pursue her dream and has devoted herself to cake creation.

Bohegian studied under a master decorator in Rhode Island for more than 10 years - before designing her own cakes. They cost anywhere from $750-$6,000 dollars.

All of Michelle’s cakes are baked right here on Hamilton street in Worcester, but her reputation brings clients not only from nearby, but from as far away as South Africa.

Tuesday, customers came from Cape Cod to discuss a cake for their daughter's wedding.

Michelle hopes her recent success will benefit Worcester.
