| April 14, 2008 Benefit held for injured Iraqi children
|
(NECN) - It has been two years since two Iraqi refugees seriously injured in an attack in their homeland, came to the U.S. to receive treatment. Saturday night there was a special concert to benefit other injured Iraqi children.
Five-year-old Omar Mahmoud and his father were injured when U.S. forces fired upon his van in Iraq. Omar is now being treated at Children's hospital through fundraising efforts.
The concert at the Art center in Arlington, Massachusetts, focused on the innocent victims of the war in Iraq. The non-profit "no more victims" is the group that helps Iraqi children injured in the war.
NECN's Kristen Caira has more.
If anyone would like to help out Omar and his family they can go to: nomorevictims.org to make a donation.
