|
(NECN: Vermont) - How is the family of Brooke Bennett doing these days? NECN's Anya Huneke sat down for an exclusive conversation with Jim Bennett, the father of the murdered 12-year-old.
"We are just trying to keep busy and make life as normal as we can for the boys. Trying to keep going, you know," said Jim Bennett.
When asked if he has gone back to work, Jim said, "It's tough, the days are long, but on the other side, it keeps my mind occupied with something else," said Jim who works in Randolph, Vermont as an auto mechanic.
42-year-old Michael Jacques of Randolph is charged with kidnapping his neice, 12-year-old Brooke Bennett, on June 25th.
Her body was found near Jacques' home a week later.
