Body pulled from water, believed to be missing Nicholas Garza

(Stephen Iandoli, NECN: Middlebury, Vermont) - Middlebury police have pulled a body from Otter Creek that they believe is missing Middlebury student Nicholas Garza.

Garza, 19, has been missing since February 5th.

The badly decomposed remains of a male were found in the river late Tuesday afternoon, according to Police Chief Tom Hanley.

The body was pulled from the river just below a waterfalls at about 8:30 p.m.

Authorities hope to identify the body at an autopsy on Wednesday.
