(NECN: Boston, MA) - An active Boston firefighter has been arrested and charged with soliciting sex for a fee. Friday night around 10:50 PM, Colin M. Herelle was driving his white Cadillac when he offered an undercover officer $29 for a sex act. Herelle age 44, lives in Dorchester and has served with the fire department for six years.
Saturday night into Sunday morning, officers from District B-2, Dorchester and Roxbury, executed "Operation Squeeze" in the lower area of Blue Hill Ave.
This was in response to community complaints of prostitution, drug use and the deleterious effects related to prostitution.
As part of this operation, undercover officers were deployed in the areas normally frequented by prostitutes.
While working in that undercover capacity, officers were approached by "johns"/individuals seeking various sexual favors in exchange for money.
Once the "johns" make an offer to the undercover officers they were then placed under arrest and charged with Prostitution: Soliciting Sex for a Fee.
The suspects arrested during this operation were issued a $300.00 citation in addition to being arrested, and their cars were towed and impounded for 48 hours before being released back to them.
