| August 29, 2008 Boston firehouse remembers two fallen brothers
|
(Brad Puffer, NECN: Boston, MA) - Friday marks a somber anniversary. Two Boston firefighters lost their lives one year ago, battling a blaze at the Tai Ho Chinese Restaurant.
A West Roxbury fire station paid tribute to Warren Payne and Paul Cahill. Dozens of firefighters and neighbors came to pay their respects.
It was a routine call that turned tragic. Grease burning above a ceiling ignited a fireball which trapped the two firefighters.
At the station, two plaques were revealed just outside the door, to honor the fallen firefighters.
