(NECN: Boston, Mass.) - It was a driver's worst nightmare, and a close call for Boston Mayor Tom Menino.
The mayor's office tells the Boston Globe that Menino was actually struck by a car while on his bike heading to work on May 26. The mayor's spokesman says that Menino fell off the bike and cut his ankle, but that he didn't file a police report or go to the hospital, telling the driver to get going, so she wouldn't be late for work.
