BOSTON (AP) - Boston police say an officer shot and wounded a
suspect when his firearm discharged during a struggle with the man.
Police spokesman Eddy Chrispin says the suspect was transported
to Massachusetts General Hospital and was in stable condition late
Wednesday.
Preliminary information indicate he suffered a gunshot would to
the chest.
But Chrispin says additional information was not immediately
available and an investigation is underway to determine the facts
and circumstances surrounding the shooting.
He says Boston's Fire Commissioner Edward Davis and
Superintendent-in-Chief Robert Dunford were at the scene Wednesday
evening.
