(NECN: Peabody, Mass.) - Fire crews in Peabody, Massachusetts are continuing to battle a massive fire which has destroyed a 23-unit apartment building in Peabody, Massachusetts.
The fire started just about 4pm in the "Highlands at Dearborn", at 8 Dearborn Road. It spread quickly throughout the building, and threatened to spread to other buildings in the complex. Over 500 people have been displaced.
The fire also backed up traffic, as several roads were closed and traffic on nearby Routes 1 and 95 were clogged by drivers slowing down to take a look at the fire.
Remarkably, no injuries have been reported.
