| May 30, 2008 Frustrated, displaced residents of Peabody fire

(Stephen Iandoli, NECN: Peabody, Mass.) - City leaders are reaching out to people displaced by Thursday's massive apartment fire in Peabody, Massachusetts.
The blaze cost millions of dollars in damage, but there were no injuries.
Many residents are questioning what they believe was a faulty structure. The fire came just 14 months after another fire at the same location. Some current residents said they complained about smelling gas during the last few weeks but they were told it was just their imagination.
The tone of Friday's meeting turned to frustration.
5 of the buildings are closed with one totally destroyed. 4 more may reopen later while the remaining 9 are opening Friday evening.
NECN's Stephen Iandoli has the latest.
