(NECN) - For hundreds of years, shipping and commercial fishing were the backbone of New England's economy.
Nowadays, economic realities have caused many port cities and towns to turn their back on fishing and embraced tourism.
But Gloucester, Massachusetts has managed to hang on to its roots which are detailed in the new book, "The Last Fish Tale."
The book's author Mark Kurlansky joins NECN's Chet Curtis.
