(Latoyia Edwards, NECN: Boston, Mass.) - The high cost of gasoline in Greater Boston is bad news for drivers, but continued good news for the MBTA. The agency reports that ridership spiked again in the month of March, rising 5.7% during the month, as high gas prices convince commuters to drive less.
The MBTA reports that trains and park-and-ride lots are packed Monday through Friday. Now the T is going to work to get people more aware of mass transit on the weekends.
NECN's Latoyia Edwards is in Boston with the latest from there.
