| April 7, 2008 Home invasion suspect charged with murder
|
(NECN: New Britain, Conn.) - Police in New Britain, Connecticut have charged a sex offender with murder and aggravated sexual assault in the death of a woman kidnapped during a home invasion.
Leslie Williams was charged Monday in connection with the shooting death of 61-year-old MaryEllen Welsh. Welsh was kidnapped last week and later found dead in a wooded area in Bristol.
The 31-year-old Williams is being held on $5 million bond.
The charges connected with Welsh's death also include two counts
of capitol felony, which could bring the death penalty.
