| October 4, 2008 MA income tax up for elimination
|
(Prat Thakkar, NECN) - As Massachusetts tries to make up for a budget shortfall, a question that will appear on the ballot next month is generating quite a bit of debate.
If passed, Question One would eliminate the state's income tax.
Supporters argue the money could go back into the wallets of struggling families.
But critics say it could hurt things like municipal services and schools.
Massachusetts would become the tenth state in the United States without income tax.
