(NECN: Brad Puffer, Abington, Mass.) - John Tassinari of Abington, Massachusetts, charged with killing his wife, was ordered held without bail Wednesday after pleading not guilty in the fatal shooting.
A prosecutor said Tassinari called police and confessed to shooting his wife more than a dozen times during a jealous rage.
29-year-old Tassinari was arrested Tuesday night after neighbors heard gunshots and called the police.
His 29-year-old wife, Barbara Tassinari, was found dead behind the couple's home on Pilgrim Street with gunshot wounds to the head.
Police said John Tassinari used two guns, a .45-caliber and a .40-caliber to fire more than a dozen shots.
Police said they had never been called to the couple's home for reports of domestic violence before Tuesday night.
Barbara Tassinari's two children were not in the home at the time of the shooting.
