Mother of four charged with accessory to murder

BOSTON (AP) - A mother who authorities first believed was kidnapped along with her four children by a man accused in a fatal stabbing has been arrested in New York on charges that she helped him flee from police.

Louna Eveillard was arrested Friday in Brooklyn and charged with being an accessory after the fact of murder.

Eveillard and Rodlyn Petitbois fled to New York City with their four young children Wednesday after he allegedly stabbed to death her friend in Lynn.

Massachusetts authorities had issued an Amber Alert early Wednesday for Eveillard and her four children under age 3, saying they could be in danger.

But the Essex District Attorney said Friday that authorities now believe Eveillard may have gone willingly with Petitbois and assisted him in avoiding police.
