| June 23, 2008 NECN: "The Forgotten Fire", Part 3
|
Building co-owner Sidney Kriensky was in the process of installing a building-wide fire alarm system at 200 Boylston at the time of the fire at 200 Boylston St.
But that installation was never completed.
Meanwhile, the city building inspector who was assigned to 200 Boylston Street says he never made it past the first floor of the building.
In Chapter 3 of the NECN documentary “The Forgotten Fire”, Leslie Gaydos looks into the fire alarm installation, and confronts Newton inspector Richard O'Regan, whose name can be found on building permits for the property dating back to 1985 – fifteen years before the fire that killed five people there.
