|
Firefighters arriving at 200 Boylston St., on the afternoon of February 9, 2000, were working at a disadvantage – the fire had a head start on them.
Court records show more than 20 minutes passed between when building owner Sidney Kriensky said he knew about the fire, and when the first 911 call came in.
But what caused the fire that broke out on the third floor of the building remains a mystery. And in this segment of the NECN documentary “The Forgotten Fire” Newton fire chief Joe Lacroix shares an encounter he had on the day of the fire that raises questions about how the fire was started.
