The company is reporting about 1,000 customers in the Alton/Barnstead/Strafford area without power ... as well as about 100 customers in the area of Epsom/Northwood/Pittsfield. There are also an estimated 200 customers in Ossipee and nearby Effingham and Freedom.
Progress in slow due to the damage from trees, and the company is not expecting full restoration before Friday evening.
PSNH also experienced an unrelated problem at about 3:30 a.m. Friday which impact customers in Auburn/Chester/Derry area. Crews are addressing that situation.
