| July 1, 2008 New twist in search for Brooke Bennett
|
(Scot Yount, NECN: Randolph, VT) - There has been another arrest stemming from the disappearance of 12-year-old Brooke Bennett. It is a complicated case that police say has reached "crucial stage". Bennett has been missing for almost a week.
On Monday her uncle was arrested on sexual assault charges. On Tuesday her former stepfather was arrested on federal charges of destroying evidence in her disappearance. Meanwhile police continue to search for the missing girl.
The 12-year-old has not been seen since last Wednesday. It is not clear whether or not the arrests have gotten police closer to finding Brooke.
NECN's Scot Yount has the latest.
