October 20, 2008 Official: Body of teen found within walking distance of party Play video

(NECN: Norfolk, Mass.) - The body of missing 17-year-old Taylor Meyer has been located. The teen disappeared Friday night from an underage drinking party at an abandoned airport in Norfolk, Massachusetts.

Norfolk County District Attorney William Keating held a news conference this morning. Keating says Meyer's body was found in a swampy area near where she was last seen. Keating says there were no obvious signs of trauma, and the cause of death remains under investigation.

Tests will now be done by the medical examiner's office.

Meyer was a senior at King Philip Regional High School.

She made a cell phone call shortly before she disappeared.

Police, fire and rescue teams used boats, dogs and a State Police helicopter to search for her in the heavily wooded area.
