Officials await autopsy results in Garza case

(Anya Huneke, NECN: Middlebury, VT) - Officials are waiting for autopsy results to confirm that the body found in Middlebury's Otter Creek was that of 19-year-old freshman Nicholas Garza.

Garza, originally from New Mexico, was last seen leaving a campus party on February 5th.

Garza's mother, Natalie, says it is his body. She posted a message on a family web site saying, "he was adored, deeply loved, and those who knew him were blessed with an extraordinary man."

In the same place the body was found, now stands a makeshift memorial of driftwood and flowers.
