(Jennifer Eagan, NECN: Spencer, MA) - Kids at operation purple camp in Spencer, Massachusetts will enjoy summer fun. But while the activities are all standard for most summer camps, these children all have something unique in common.
The campers all have either a mother, father or other close relative that has been deployed in the last six months.
The camp has counselors and features guest speakers to help the children better understand what they're parent is doing overseas.
NECN's Jennifer Eagan reports.
