Pedestrian struck by Green Line trolley


(NECN: Boston, Mass.) - A 21-year-old man has been taken to the hospital with serious head injuries, that could be life threatening, after being struck by an inbound Green Line trolley.

The accident took place just east of Boston College Station at about 9:20 this morning.

Police say the young man had been walking on the tracks with his headphones on just before the accident.

Buses will replace trolley service between Washington Street and BC while Transit Police investigate.
