(NECN: Latoyia Edwards, Newton, Mass.) - With fuel prices hitting new record highs almost every day, drivers are finally changing their habits. For the first time in 30 years, Americans are driving less.
Not since 1979, have drivers cut back this much on driving. A study shows that miles driven in the United States fell four months in a row -- with gas at a record $3.65 per gallon, on average.
More and more Americans are seriously considering buying fuel efficient vehicles as well as cutting back on family vacations and running errands.
