| February 19, 2008 Power being restored after storm slams region
|
(NECN) - Things are getting back to normal after Monday's snow storm hit much of the region hard. It was the first major snow storm of 2008.
The storm forced flight cancellations, a snow day for students and power outages.
Crews have been working to restore power to those that lost it.
Utility crews hope to have all the power back on later in the day Tuesday.
NECN's Latoyia Edwards has more on that from Walpole, Massachusetts.
More on this story from the Associated Press:
BOSTON (AP) - Power has been restored to all but a relative
handful of customers around Massachusetts who lost electricity
during Monday's winter storm.
NStar said this morning that less than 200 customers remained in the dark, most of them in the
Walpole area. Western Massachusetts Electric reports only a few
dozen outages remaining, all in Springfield.
